How health insurance could help thousands in Kenmore

kenmoreThe arrival of affordable health insurance could make a big difference in Kenmore, where 17% of adults under age 65 are uninsured. Thanks to Washington Healthplanfinder, Kenmore residents now have a new way to find, compare and enroll in affordable health insurance plans. Enrollment runs through March 31st 2014 for coverage plans starting January 1st 2014.

In December 2013, information about insurance rates in Covington will be available

An analysis by Public Health – Seattle & King County found that in Kenmore:

  • 2,237 people are uninsured, which is about 17% of the population
  • Of the uninsured, 832 people will be eligible for Medicaid through the expansion
  • Of the uninsured, 1,100 will be eligible for subsidies and tax credits through the Health Benefit Exchange
